I am a mid-wife for souls; I birth ideas, projects and people to the next level. This occurs with people in my work as a hospice chaplain…I hold hands with God and my patients and then bring them together and I step away and leave them connected.

I was born and raised on a working cattle ranch in Circleville, Utah.  I attended Brigham Young University where I studied communications and met the father of my children, Brian.   That prepared me for the 10 years we lived in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.  During that time, my two daughters, Jennifer and Amelia were born and I worked as a Weather Girl & Noon Show Host at WAEO-TV, NBC, which was owned by Congressman, Alvin E. O’Konski.

In 1979, I returned to Utah where I worked with a family therapist as a

co-therapist and partnered in designing and leading 3 day intensive, developmental weekends.  During that time, I also coached young women for beauty pageants, traveled to California to do make-up and hair for soap operas and movies and was drive-time DJ for country music station, 14 KFTN.

In 1988, I began traveling the world as a corporate trainer for Fortune 5OO companies, government agencies and correctional facilities using multiple training methods including satellite-distance learning.  I trained over 1 million people in 11 countries on 4 continents on a variety of leadership topics.  During those travels, I became PADI Certified in Australia to Scuba Dive with Sharks.

After the events of 9/11, I shifted my focus from World Geography to the Geography of the Soul.   As a Hospice Chaplain, I served terminally ill patients and their families.  I ministered to the spiritual needs of end of life issues by designing memorials and funerals, writing obituaries and providing spiritual guidance through the grieving process, including leading two support groups at The Huntsman Cancer Institute.

In July 2007, I took a leave of absence to write a new protocol for hospice care and a series of hospice books to support that protocol.  During that time, I was approached by Leadership Excellence Publishing, LLC, to participate as part of their Global Development team, in an advisory capacity.

In October of 2010, I joined the staff of the I Promise Foundation a nonprofit, faith based mentor organization, whose treatment and recovery philosophy is built on principles of personal development and empowerment.   I Promise is an offender re-entry and recovery program and was formed out of a love and passion for helping people re-build their lives after incarceration and living with addiction/ alcoholism. They offer sober living housing, a comprehensive jobs program, supportive services and intensive outpatient substance abuse and mental health therapy to both men and women.

In January 2014, I returned to Hospice work as a Non-denominational Chaplain.  I have the privilege of working with an extraordinary team of professionals in a patient-centric environment. I serve patients and families faced with a terminal diagnosis as they navigate complicated end-of-life issues.

I continue to consult and have a small private practice.  My greatest joy is being a gramma to two great kids, Ruby and Bella.
